Exploration Place
What would I be able to offer the children who come to visit Exploration Place?
Considering the tiny tots first. After thinking about it for a while I begin to gravitate to a set of motions. Linear motions: Up and down, left and right, and circular motions round and round. This is not to exclude lights of course there are lots of things to do with lights too.
But let me give an example of a bug. It could be behind a glass panel and move up and down when someone touches the panel. There’s how it would work. We can make it a lady bug or a moth or beetle or what ever. Click on the picture to see the video.
Another idea might be to have this butterfly flittering around behind the glass something like what my kids did in this art camp.
I know there are a lot of bugs and flowers in the tots spot so this next idea may not fit but it is very colorful. However the wheels could easily be made into flowers. And this idea would mount very easily behind a glass. It could be made very flat.
