Standards

  • USB interface for Arduino Uno microcontroller.
  • Serial output over USB using standard arduino interface at 9600 baud for logging and debugging purposes. Protocol is described below.

Serial protocol:

The device will output 4 lines of serial data approximately 10 times per second in the following form:

[sensorN:x]

Where N will be an integer between 1 and 4 inclusive (denoting the sector) and x will be the pressure readout between 0 and 255. Note that these are relative values and do not map directly to PSI as this was unnecessary for our purposes, though any programming reading this data could convert to PSI, though these mappings would have to be found experimentally by the developer.
